Man shot in Hyde Park

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Hyde Park Friday evening, according to Chicago police.

The man, 39, was inside a residential building in the 8100 block of South Drexel Boulevard about 6:22 p.m. when two men approached him and one shot at him, police said. The 39-year-old was hit in the arm and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.

No one is in custody.
