Get thee to a south magnet

0

Hello Friends,

The difference between the south magnets and other stretches is stark this morning. It was virtually flat in the corner at Dee Why and at Surfrider Gardens. But at the northern ends the 1.3 metre, 11 second dead south swell was producing rideable waves in the waist to occasionally chest-plus range. Conditions were perfect for the early: sunny skies, a faint NNW breeze and an incoming tide (it hits the 1.81 m high at 1025). Water quality is rated “pollution unlikely” and temp is 18.

Outlook is for the conditions to be best this morning and maybe, with a bit of luck, to be fun again tomorrow for the early. Thereafter the models show a run of near-flatness until late in the week when we could see rainy, southerly weather and a noticeable south pulse. But the wind will be on top of it, so I’m not feeling too hopeful for reasonable surf prospects. Maybe next weekend…

Go well and have fun!
