Albany man found guilty of 2020 murder

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County District Attorney's Office announced that an Albany man has been convicted in a 2020 murder case. Joseph Seeley, 27, was found guilty of second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon following a jury trial at the Albany County Supreme Court on Friday.

The initial indictment against Seeley alleged that he intentionally caused the death of Jimmy Moore on September 23, 2020, by shooting him with an illegally possessed firearm. The murder took place near First Street and Lexington Avenue in Albany.

Seeley is scheduled to be sentenced on November 22. He faces 25 years to life in state prison.
