Motorcyclist killed in Southeast Portland crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A motorcyclist was killed after a crash in Southeast Portland Friday afternoon.

Just before 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Southeast 55th Avenue and East Burnside Street on reports of a crash.

On arrival, they found a motorcyclist dead after a crash involving another vehicle.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

East Burnside was shut down between Southeast 53rd Avenue and Southeast 57th Avenue for the duration of the investigation.

No further information has been released at this time.
