Satirist skewers Mark Robinson with tater tot-themed spoof
Gov. Tim Walz' alarming comments about the essence of casserole, made under the anonymous username DarthTater, threaten to upend the upcoming presidential election, according to a completely made-up spoof poking fun at Mark Robinson.
Washington Post satirist Alexandra Petri on Friday took a none-too-subtle jab at the North Carolina gubernatorial candidate caught in a scandal over porn site commentary that an explosive CNN report linked to the MAGA Republican.
While CNN reported Robinson declared himself to be a "black NAZI" who would "bring slavery back," Walz's satirical account engages in parallel hot dish-themed commentary.
"DarthTater also expressed some viewpoints that matched with Walz’s public persona," Petri wrote. "In one instance, the user wrote, 'National Coming Out Day is around the corner and I need to be on my A-game with snacks (I’m a GSA club sponsor). Any suggestions, hot dish friends?' adding, 'Goes without saying, but, just in case, I disapprove of slavery.'"

Walz's anonymous account also show a penchant for praising photos of hot dish and expressing appreciation for his fellow HotOrNotDish.net users and their families.
"Hope you’re enjoying that delicious dish with your beautiful family!" DarthTater writes. "Cherish your family! I know I cherish mine!”
Just in case readers aren't on board with what's really being discussed, Petri cites another commenter on the phony forum HotOrNotDish.net named " MarkRobinsonIsMyLegalNameAndThisIsMyRealEmailPleaseAskMeAboutNazismIAmForIt."
"Why is it fair to bring in the things that people post anonymously on forums in their spare time?" Petri's mystery poster asks. "Especially if, frankly, they’re not all that surprising."
The article also includes a surprising conclusion — an update admitting the spoofer had been spoofed:
"The website HotOrNotDish.net did not actually exist at the time of publication but has since been set up by an anonymous hot-dish fan to redirect users to Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign website after first showering them with Tater Tots," the update reads. "The Post is not responsible for the website — not even, alas, the tots."
