Peter Willems tasked with bringing stability as he moves into CEO role at Belgian FA
September 20 – The Belgian FA (KBVB) has named Peter Willems as the new CEO of the governing body following a summer of chaos.
He succeeds Piet Vandendriessche, who left earlier this summer following a disappointing Euro 2024. Operational director Jelle Schelstraete and legal director Pegie Leys also departed the KBVB. Technical director Frank Vercauteren will leave at the end of the year.
Willems will need to bring stability to the organisation and keep the financial accounts balanced.
