Nikki Glaser Roasts Aaron Rodgers With Savage Nickname on 'TNF'

0

Comedian Nikki Glaser made an appearance on Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football postgame show, following her headline-generating jokes at the Netflix roast of Tom Brady earlier this year. And while no one was safe from Glaser's barbs, she saved her most savage material for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rogers following the team's victory over the New England Patriots.

"It was New York verses Boston, a real battle of cities where you can get stabbed at a parade," the 40-year-old quipped during the segment, titled "Late Hits with Nikki Glaser," adding that "Met Life Stadium was packed with 82,000 of New Jersey's most singlest fathers."

"The Jets really needed a win tonight, because the Jets are a lot like Bruce Springsteen," Glaser continued. "They're based in New Jersey and they've spent the last four decades making grown men cry. And they were playing their bitter rivals, the New England Patriots—the Patriots, the only thing that Ben Affleck can commit to."

The FBoy Island host also shouted out newly-minted Patriots coach Jerod Mayo, noting that it's got to be "rough for Bill Belichick, watching his ex rebound with a hot Black guy."

Glaser then turned her attention to Rodgers, who is back on the field after an Achilles tendon injury sidelined him for the entirety of last season.

"Now the Jets have a new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, or as I like to call him, Throw Rogan," she quipped. "It’s ironic that he goes to silent retreats because he can’t stop talking about it. But he's fun, you know he lives in New York, he's always doing his buddies podcast, he looks like someone who buys beer for teens. Honestly, I'm shocked that I even dated him."

"And I don't even have a joke here, but remember when we thought this guy was [gonna] host Jeopardy!?" Glaser added, of Rodgers short-lived hosting gig in 2021.

Ultimately, Glaser concluded her barbs by noting that while the Jets may have scored more points in the 3–24 game, "it was really the Patriots who won, because they got to leave New Jersey."
