Govt may extend import management system for laptops, tablets for 3 months

The government is likely to extend the import management system for IT hardware products, including laptops and tablets, by three months. This system, introduced last year, aims to monitor imports without disrupting market supply. Import authorisations will remain valid until September 30, 2024, with most imports coming from China.
