Watch live: Kamala Harris campaigns with Oprah Winfrey in key battleground state

Vice President Kamala Harris was to hold a campaign rally Thursday night in a key battleground state with prominent talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

The rally, dubbed "Unite for America 2024," will have the women on stage in front of local voters. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer was expected to attend, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The rally, which was to begin around 8 p.m. Eastern Time, comes after Winfrey made headlines for her surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
