Historic South Florida Property Served as Bulwark Against Anti-Semitism

A South Florida property sits empty and in decay. But decades ago the Hollywood Beach Hotel was an architectural gem that shined a light on the city of Hollywood, which celebrates its 100th birthday next year. It also welcomed Jewish patrons even though anti-Semitism was a powerful force here in the 30s, 40s and 50s. But its fate is uncertain because most of it is owned by the company of a New York City real estate mogul.
