Dan Hurley and his staff at two-time defending NCAA champion UConn are in the midst of a monster recruiting week.

The Huskies are trying to assemble another big-time recruiting class for 2025 and have several pivotal official and in-person visits this week.

Darius Adams, the five-star shooting guard from La Lumiere (IN) and the PSA Cardinals, is taking his official to UConn Tuesday-Wednesday.

Adams, a New Jersey native like Hurley, has visited N.C. State (Sept. 6-8) and Tennessee (Sept. 13-15) and has visits set for Michigan State (Sept. 20-22) and Alabama (Sept. 27-29) later this month.

“All the schools like Darius because he’s versatile, he can play the one and the two and I’ll just say that all the visits have been very good so far and we have a lot to talk about when it’s all said and done,” his father Dennis told ZAGSBLOG. “We’re just taking notes on the visits and making sure he’s making the right decision.”

Acaden Lewis, the five-star point guard from Sidwell Friends in Washington, D.C., will take his official to Storrs this weekend.

The 6-3 guard is down to a Final 4 of UConn, Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky — talk about Blue Bloods. He visited Duke last month and trips to Carolina in October.

Hurley, Luke Murray and Kimani Young visited Lewis at Sidwell on Sept. 10 after meeting President Biden at the White House.

“The White House is a place not many people will ever get to visit and for UConn, they’ve done it twice these past two years, which is super impressive,” Lewis told NJ Advance Media.

“[I] really appreciate them coming out and showing love when they didn’t have too, especially with my visit and stuff coming up.

–On Thursday, Hurley and the staff will be back in to see four-star 7-footer Eric Reibe of The Bullis School in Potomac, Md., whom they also visited after the White House trip.

Reibe continues to be in high demand as assistants from Indiana and Creighton, as well as Kansas head coach Bill Self are due in this week.

–The UConn staff will also visit five-star shooting guard Braylon Mullins of Greenfield-Central (IN) on Thursday. The 6-5 Mullins is poised to drop his Top 5 next week following his Indiana visit. For more, read this.

–UConn remains in the mix for five-star forward Niko Bundalo of Prolific Prep (CA), who has a top nine of Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, Texas, UConn and Xavier.
