Christian Scott Undergoing Hybrid UCL Surgery
Mets young pitcher Christian Scott will undergo a hybrid procedure, which combines traditional TJ ligament replacement with the internal brace, performed by Dr. Keith Meister, early next week. His agent, Nate Heisler, announced the news on Wednesday afternoon.
Scott, 25, has been out of action since late July, when he was diagnosed with a UCL sprain. Scott and the Mets were hoping rest would rule out the need for TJS, but that didn’t turn out to be the case, and the right-hander will likely miss all of the 2025 season.
Before hitting the IL, Scott appeared in nine games for New York, going 0-3 with a 4.56 ERA in 47.1 innings pitched. He struck out 39 pitchers and allowed 12 walks.
