Akron got some excellent pitching, but the RubberDucks got dominated on the other side, managing just one hit on offense. Milan Tolentino had the only hit. Yordys Valdes, Kody Huff and Joe Lampe also walked.

Starting pitcher Austin Peterson was stellar, but one run allowed in 5 23 innings was enough to take a loss. He allowed five hits while striking out three and walking zero.

Lake County’s offense went off on Tuesday. Travis Bazzana did his thing as the leadoff hitter, setting the table properly by reaching base safely four times. He went 1-for-2 with three walks and a stolen base.

Angel Genao went 3-for-5 with two doubles.

Wuilfredo Antunez went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.

Other standouts included Jake Fox, who went 2-for-5 with a walk, Jonah Advincula, who went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored; and Esteban Gonzalez, who went 2-fo-3 with a walk.

Starting pitcher Matt Wilkinson impressed with 6 23 innings pitched, allowing two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Adam Tulloch was sensational out of the bullpen, earning a save with 2 13 innings of perfect scoreless relief while striking out one.
