Road closures, no parking announced for Pearl Palooza
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Several streets will temporarily prohibit parking or be closed for the 21st Pearl Palooza on Saturday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The all-ages music festival is shutting down portions of N Pearl Street and Columbia Street.
The festival is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. PearlPalooza kicks off with YogaPalooza presented by MVP Health Care from 11 a.m. to noon with an instructor from The Hot Yoga Spot. N Pearl Street will close from Pine Street to Sheridan Avenue, and Columbia Street will be closed from Chapel Street to James Street.
Restricted parking
- N Pearl Street: Both sides, between Pine Street and Orange Street.
- N Pearl Street: Both sides from Pine Street south, eight spaces on each side.
- Pine Street: Both sides, between Chapel Street and James Street.
- Columbia Street: Both sides, between Chapel Street and James Street.
- Sheridan Avenue: Both sides, between Chapel Street and N Pearl Street.
Music lineup
- The Sugar Hold at 12:30 p.m.
- Laveda at 1:30 p.m.
- The Ramona Flowers at 2:30 p.m.
- Jakob Nowell at 4 p.m. performing songs from Sublime and Jakobs Castle
- Robert DeLong at 5:30 p.m.
Parking is available for $8 at the Riverfront, Quackenbush, and Green-Hudson Garages. Street parking in downtown Albany is free on weekends.
