One dead after crash on Krumkill Road in Bethlehem

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Bethlehem Police Department (BPD) is investigating a fatal crash that took place on Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 5 a.m. near 185 Krumkill Road in North Bethlehem.

According to police, the initial investigation determined that Ryan Collins, 37 of Albany, was driving westbound on Krumkill Road when his vehicle collided with a utility pole. Collins was declared dead at the scene by the Albany County Coroner's Office.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the BPD and the Albany County Crash Investigation Team.
