Alaska high court lets man serving 20-year sentence remain on ballot
JUNEAU, Alaska: The Alaska Supreme Court this week allowed a man currently serving a 20-year prison sentence to remain on the November ballot in the state's U.S. House race.
A split court affirmed a lower court ruling in a case brought by the Alaska Democratic Party, with Justice Susan Carney dissenting. A full opinion explaining the reasoning will be released later.
