Indian Railways’ first 20-coach Vande Bharat train kicked off its first commercial run from Varanasi on September 18. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the semi-high speed train earlier this week.

The new train was developed by Integral Coach Factory, Chennai and it will accommodate 1440 passengers in a single journey. This new train will reduce the waitlist and would give an advantage to last minute travellers. The new train will cover a distance of 771 kms in approximately 8 hours that will label them as the fastest trains on the route.

The two new trains of Vande Bharat will be operated and maintained by the Northern zone of Railways.

The trains have already been introduced on the Varanasi-New Delhi route.

Schedule and Timings of New Delhi-Varanasi 20 coach Vande Bharat train-

Train no 22415 (Varanasi to New Delhi) – Departure time- 6:00 am Arrival time- 14:05 pm
Train No 22435 (Varanasi to New Delhi) – Departure time – 15:00 pm Arrival time- 2300 pm

Route and Stoppage of 20 coach Vande Bharat train-
The Vande Bharat Express train will stop at two stations- Prayagraj and Kanpur Central.

Passengers accommodation and Fares-

The 20 coach Vande Bharat will accommodate 1440 passengers with two sitting alternatives- Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car . A passenger will have to spend Rs 1,795 for AC Chair car seat while Rs 3,320 is the fare of Executive Chair Car.
