Deputies: Albany man found with 18 grams of crack cocaine
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of an Albany man on felony drug charges. Derrell Carter, 39, faces multiple charges.
Charges
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia
- Second-degree obstructing governmental administration
- Traffic violation
Deputies reported conducting a traffic stop near Broad Street and Alexander Street in Albany on Tuesday just after 3 p.m. Carter was allegedly found with about 18 grams of crack cocaine intended for distribution based on the weight and packaging.
Carter is being held at Albany County Correctional Facility. He will be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on Wednesday.
