Centre readies to auction 10 offshore mineral blocks

The centre will soon auction ten offshore mineral blocks to expand raw material sources for key industries like construction. Secretary of the Ministry of Mines, V L Kanta Rao, announced this at the FIMI AGM. The Geological Survey of India has identified areas for sand, lime mud, and polymetallic nodules extraction.
