NYC police commissioner quits after seizure of phone by investigators
NEW YORK CITY, New York: Edward Caban, New York City's Police Commissioner, resigned after his phone was seized during a federal investigation that touched several members of Mayor Eric Adams' inner circle.
Caban, who ran the nation's largest police department for about 15 months, emailed staff that he decided to resign after the "news around recent developments" had "created a distraction for our department."
