PM Modi urges people to vote in large numbers as polling in J&K begins

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to vote in large numbers as the first phase of assembly elections begins. This is the first election since the abrogation of Article 370 and the formation of Jammu and Kashmir as a Union Territory. Voting will take place over three phases, with results announced on October 8.
