Man killed in Lawndale drive-by shooting

A man was killed in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in Lawndale.

Gregory Wells, 47, was standing in the 700 block of South Campbell Avenue when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire about 12:20 a.m., Chicago police said.

Wells suffered a gunshot wound on the neck and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died, police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

No arrests were made.
