9/16/2024: Another couple days of sun & warmth

0

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

High pressure in place over the Northeast holds on for another couple days - keeping us not only bright and sunny, but well above average in terms of temperature.

Any patchy fog from this morning will have lifted by 9 or 10 am at the latest. Then, it's mostly sunny for the rest of the day with highs in the mid 80's - about 10 degrees above normal for mid-September.

Tonight looks quiet and seasonably mild with lows in the low to mid 50's. Like many days in the past week or so, some patchy fog may develop by daybreak - especially in the hills & mountains.

A few more clouds around through the day tomorrow, but still bright enough. Temperatures only a degree or two cooler, with highs in the low 80's.

Low pressure drifting up the east coast will sed us some more unsettled weather for the second half of the work week.

Many will trend cloudier for Wednesday, with chance showers south of the Capital District. We could all see scattered showers on Thursday and Friday, though neither day looks like a complete washout.

Brighter for the weekend, with high temperatures falling back to their typical mid-September levels - in the mid 70's.
