Spurs are eyeing a potential move for Boca Juniors star
According to Boca Noticias, Tottenham Hotspur are now eyeing a move for Boca Juniors star Kevin Zenon, who is making waves in Argentine football.
Tottenham are shopping around in Argentina again
Just a little over a month ago, Spurs raided Argentine football for one of their best young prospects Alejo Veliz and it turns out that the North London club are considering doing so again.
According to Boca Noticias, the Lilywhites are now one of the clubs looking at Zenon, who has turned many heads since swapping Union Santa Fe for Boca at the start of this year.
Although the 23-year-old is a left midfielder by trade, he can also operate as a left-back, a wing-back and a wing-forward.
Spurs have competition in race for Kevin Zenon
Tottenham are not the only ones who admire Zenon, with Newcastle United and Benfica also allegedly making contact regarding the player’s availability.
The publication adds that in order to sign the wide man, interested clubs would have to meet the player’s $15m (£11.4m) release clause.
At the moment, Ange Postecoglou has the likes of Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies and Djed Spence to choose from in the left-back position.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is not surprising to see Spurs being linked with the likes of Zenon and Patrick Dorgu as left-back is arguably the area where Tottenham are most in need of reinforcements.
The club do not have a natural backup to Destiny Udogie, which is a big overnight considering he has spent time on the treatment table and picked up suspensions in the past year.
