Tottenham star Richarlison is being sued for an off-field issue
The Sun reveal that Richarlison is now facing legal action from his former personal assistant, who claims to have been left emotionally scarred after being sacked without warning.
What happened with Richarlison’s personal assistant?
Reginaldo Pereira, who worked as Richarlison’s assistant until last year, has filed the complaint and claims to have been sacked suddenly.
The 60-year-old was reportedly on the Tottenham man’s team when he moved from his home country to Watford, then Everton and finally when he joined Spurs back in 2022.
Mr Pereira claims that the 27-year-old did not register him, paid his £500-a-week wages straight into his account and did not grant him holidays.
He adds that Richarlison’s father, Antonio Marcos de Andrade, made him work long hours, made excessive demands and even subjected him to verbal abuse.
He says he was loaded with extra responsibilities including looking after the player’s pets and was eventually axed without notice in the cinema room of the striker’s mansion.
Richarlison is being sued for £95,000
Mr Pereira, who is claiming £95,000 for unfair dismissal, adds that he has been left physically and emotionally broken by his firing.
He told The Sun: “After being dismissed I had to seek medical treatment to deal with the negative impacts of this toxic environment. My wife filed for divorce. I’m emotionally shaken and unemployed.”
The publication adds that a preliminary hearing is set to take place in Watford next month, with Richarlison’s spokesperson denying the claims but refusing to offer any further comment.
