Apple launched its newest generation of iPhones last week, and now the highly sought-after smartphones are available for purchase. Here's how to preorder the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus from your preferred retailer or carrier and get the best deals.

You can now find both base models of iPhone 16 at major retailers, each with its own specific promotions that I've broken down below. Most require the trade-in of an eligible device for credit that can be applied to your purchase and the activation of a new cell service line. If you'd prefer not to be tied to a carrier, you can also pay the full price or the total off monthly.

Where to preorder the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus

The base iPhone 16 models are now available for preorder with different promotions at major retailers and cell carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Amazon, T-Mobile, Best Buy, and Apple. The device will be released on September 20. So far, carriers like Mint, Visible, and Tello have no purchase options to shop.

Though there are no discounted iPhone 16 models at the moment, trade-in offers are the best they'll ever be. As the months roll on, it's unlikely that carriers will continue to offer old device trade-in credits at this value.
