Making Plans for the 31st Annual APC Autumn Colours Classic
Now that the 2024 regular season has concluded, the promotional team at Peterborough Speedway can shift its focus to finalizing plans for this year’s edition of the APC Autumn Colours Classic.
With a Thanksgiving Weekend motorsports menu comprised of close to a dozen different divisions – including a main course of the Late Model Electric City 167 – the APC Autumn Colours Classic is a Central Ontario fall racing tradition spanning more than 3 decades.
“Spectators and competitors alike start making plans for this event about a week after the previous year’s final checkered flag,” explained track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “From booking hotel rooms and campsites, to scheduling vacation time for drivers, crew members, family and friends, while packing gear for every possible weather condition Mother Nature might throw their way. The annual Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing has something for everyone.”
Grab your calendar and mark Friday through Sunday, October 11th, 12th and 13th, the dates for this year’s APC Autumn Colours Classic. Pit gates open each morning at 10:00, with the Best of the Best hitting the track all 3 days. On-track action will take the stage for the first time Friday night at 6:00 with the first round of qualifying for the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, SwitchTire Mini Stock and Jiffy Lube Super Stock divisions, plus the Ontario Legend Car Series, OSCAAR Hot Rods and Modifieds and OMRS Mods. The Mini Stock and Super Stock Non-Winner’s races will also be on the opening night line-up, along with a feature event to decide the 2024 OMRS title.
Weekend or daily APC Autumn Colours Classic passes are available in advance by using the ‘buy tickets’ option on the track website. Fans can also choose to purchase tickets at the main gate. Peterborough Speedway is a ‘cash only’ facility, with an ATM available on-site for your convenience.
