'He's lost the plot': CNN analyst slams Trump's 'repellent' ties to Laura Loomer

Former President Donald Trump is going down a self-destructive path with his continual association with Laura Loomer, a far-right activist and failed congressional candidate that even Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has said is "extremely racist," CNN analyst S.E. Cupp told Sara Sidner on Monday.

Trump, for his part, has denied that Loomer speaks for his campaign. But the two of them are constantly seen together at events, including at a 9/11 memorial service — which drew particular ire as Loomer has pushed conspiracy theories about the attacks.

On the morning's segment, Sidner showed a social media post from Loomer proclaiming the White House would "smell like curry" and speak to America through "call centers" if Vice President Kamala Harris, who is half-Indian, is elected.

"Listen to this," said Sidner, putting up a clip from Loomer's show. "She's talking about several women of color, several Black women, Letitia James and others. It's including Kamala Harris. Here's what she said about them."

"Now, y'all gonna elect me and I'm going to lock him up. We're gonna get Trump." said Loomer, mocking Harris' accent. "Like, the way they talk and their little DEI Shaniqua voices, and it's just very piercing, very irritating sound. They all have — they all have the same voice. I'm talking about Kamala Harris, Letitia James, and Fani Willis, like all of the meritless DEI Shaniquas talk the same way. It's very obnoxious."

"Why is Donald Trump hanging around with this woman?" said Sidner.

"Because he's lost the plot," said Cupp. "He's completely lost the plot. This is repellent to the very voters he will need. There's no reason for this. She's disgusting, she's also a lunatic, and a huge drag — and not the first drag by the way, I think J.D. Vance is the first drag on his ticket that was a bad decision. This is the next one."
