WTO chief Okonjo-Iweala plans to seek second term

WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has announced her intention to seek a second four-year term. The former Nigerian finance minister aims to address key issues such as fisheries subsidies, global agriculture negotiations, and WTO reforms. Her decision follows an Africa-led push to start the process early, ahead of the U.S. presidential election.
