Please Consider Supporting Duke’s Dribble For Victory Over Cancer

Blue Tobin, eight, from Kent, rings the ‘end of treatment’ bell after being declared ‘medically’ cured of cancer following his five-year check-up at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, after undergoing a ‘high-risk, ground-breaking’ treatment that had never been used on someone Blue’s age before and offered only a 10-15\% chance of success. | Photo by Nick Ansell/PA Images via Getty Images

Great people, a great cause, and a great time for all.

Sadly, most of us have lost someone we care about to cancer. It’s a god-awful disease and it’s even more devastating when it hits kids. Nothing feels better than seeing a kid ring a bell; nothing is worse than when a kid can’t.

It’s devastating, it’s brutal, but research is pushing us ever-closer to big wins over the various forms of the disease.

Jason Evans, who has been doing great work with the DBR Podcast, is working with Duke’s Dribble For Victory Over Cancer to do just that. This is an event that will raise money for pediatric cancer research. We know there are many places you could donate money to but there is nothing more kind and decent that you could do with your money than to help save children’s lives.

The date for this is October 5th, the day after Countdown To Craziness, and the details are posted over at the board. Among other things, you’ll get to see an open practice and how cool is that?

We hope you’ll consider supporting this.
