THIS Morning was plunged into chaos today as one guest broke a display with £500k cash inside.

Cat Deeley, 47, and Ben Shephard, 49, were left scrambling to fix the plastic fixture as the ITV programme was sent into disarray.

As actress Jodie Prenger, 45, introduced a viewer competition, wheeling in the tower of notes, Ben asked: “Is it actually real?”

She replied: “Yeah, you can open it,” before accidentally snapping off one of its panels.

“Oh no, I broke it, I broke it, don’t worry, don’t worry,” she cried, “I’m just gonna hold it, I look like I’m on Star Wars!”

Meanwhile, Cat was seen in the background frantically trying to reassemble the cabinet.

To add to the pandemonium, a choir had been ushered into the studio to sing Pharrell Williams‘ Happy to promote the comp.

This Morning came under fire earlier this month when Lauryn Goodman slammed hosts Ben and Cat after her “awkward” interview.

The Celebs Go Dating star, 33, had joined the presenters on the ITV show to discuss her upcoming appearance on the E4 dating show.

But Lauryn said she was “taken back” by the probing questions into her personal life including her ex Kyle Walker and their recent court case.

Shortly after the interview, viewers raced to social media to hit out at the hosts for looking “unimpressed” and being borderline “insulting”.

Lauryn shared a clip of her on the daytime show which prompted her fans to comment supportive messages.

This person wrote: “They seemed really frosty with you and the interview came across really awkward, however, you did really well given the questions asked.

“You seemed shocked by Kyle’s statement at the end but again kept your composure. Hope you and the babies are doing well.”

In response, Lauryn wrote: “I was taken back it as you can probably tell.

“Didn’t really think it was necessary and didn’t understand the purpose of it.

“Also, the ‘respect my privacy’ when he’s the one who requested it was all made public.

“Made no sense to me but again it is what it is. I wasn’t on there to talk about him.

“I was there to talk about me and my children and Celebs Go Dating.”

Replying to another follower who asked if she was treated fairly, Lauryn said: “I was on there to talk about Celebs Go Dating, but didn’t really end up being about that.

“Is what it is.”
