World’s Second Tallest Building: There is an ongoing, unseen competition to build the world’s tallest building, a race every country wants to win. However, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa currently holds the top spot. Raising the stakes, a Dubai-based company has now announced the construction of the world’s second-tallest skyscraper, which will also house the planet’s highest nightclub.
World’s Second Tallest Building Also In Dubai
Azizi Developments is developing ‘Burj Azizi’ in Dubai. This building will stand 725 meters tall, just behind its neighbour – Burj Khalifa, which is 830 meters tall. As per the company the construction on the tower will cost around £1.15 billion (approximately Rs 12,649 crore). The good news is the construction of the sky-high building has already stated.
World’s Second Tallest Building: Completion By 2028
The construction of the gigantic tower is expected to reach completion in the year 2028, about four years from now. By February of 2025, people will be able to start snagging units in the impressive structure that is poised to have more than 131 decks. The tower will flaunt a unique seven-star all-suite hotel inspired by seven different culture-based themes. In addition to this, it will also house penthouses, standard apartments, and holiday homes.

The structure will stand out with its unique observatory, an area for thrill-seekers, and a number of record-breaking features. Included are the world’s loftiest hotel lobby set on the 11th floor, the highest situated nightclub taking the 126th floor to new heights, an observation deck towering high on the 130th floor, Dubai’s apex restaurant firmly placed on the 122nd floor, and the highest hotel room in Dubai residing on the 118th floor.
World’s Second Tallest Building: Location
The company is constructing the second tallest building in the world near Sheikh Zayed Road. It is the only freehold property on Sheikh Zayed Road. It will also feature a vertical retail center spanning seven floors, a luxury ballroom, and a beach club.
According to Mirwais Azizi, founder and chairman of Azizi Developments, “Our investment in Burj Azizi, exceeding AED 6 billion (Rs 66,000 crore), is more than just constructing an iconic structure.
“Burj Azizi is not just about its grandeur or prime location. With its innovative design and state-of-the-art technology, this tower will offer ultra-luxury residences, a unique vertical shopping mall, and an array of amenities and dining experiences, all located at exceptional heights,” he said.
