16-year-old girl wounded in Austin shooting
A 16-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting early Monday in the West Side's Austin neighborhood.
About 1:35 a.m., she was a passenger in a vehicle when a black SUV pulled up and someone inside opened fire in the first block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago police said.
The girl was shot in the buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital where she was in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.
