AI surveillance ends train-elephant collisions in Coimbatore

In the Madukkarai area of Coimbatore Forest Division, an AI-based surveillance system has drastically reduced wildlife deaths on railway tracks. Installed seven months ago, the system uses thermal and normal cameras to detect animal movement and alert train drivers. Since its implementation, no wildlife fatalities or injuries have occurred.
