Jean Smart Wins Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series for 'Hacks' at Emmy Awards 2024!

Jean Smart is a winner again!

The 73-year-old actress won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hacks at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

“Thank you. Thank you so, so much. It’s very humbling, it really is,” Jean said in her acceptance speech. “And I appreciate this, because I just don’t get enough attention.”

“I’m serious!” Jean added as the audience laughed.

This now marks Jean‘s sixth Emmy win and her third in this same category for Hacks.

Also in attendance at the Emmys were Jean‘s Hacks co-stars Hannah Einbinder, Kaitlin Olson, with husband Rob McElhenney, and Paul W. Downs. Paul also walked the red carpet with fellow co-creators Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky.

The Emmys, hosted by Schitt’s Creek stars and real-life father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy are airing RIGHT NOW on ABC. Look back at the nominations list to see who else is up for awards!
