Telecom gear companies fret as draft sourcing rules skip 5G mention

The draft rules on local sourcing for government procurement of telecom gear in India have been released, identifying 36 products that must have over 50% local value addition. While this move aims to boost domestic manufacturing, concerns arise as the list does not include 5G equipment.
