Warm temperatures and isolated storms in the forecast
We'll see mostly cloudy skies for today, which should keep temperatures from reaching the lower 90s this afternoon, instead most likely settling in the mid-upper 80s.
As an upper-level trough remains overhead, a few isolated storms will be in the forecast again today, similar to what we saw yesterday. Storm coverage will be near 30%, with higher rain chances along and south of I-10, closer to the coast.
This trough will linger overhead through Monday and Tuesday, keeping the isolated storms in the forecast. Highs will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s Monday and Tuesday with slightly more sunshine than what is expected today.
Ridge of high pressure builds by the middle and end of the week, which will lead to hotter temperatures. Highs will reach the lower 90s each afternoon with rain chances lowering.
