Cemetery closed after cops find human remains in mystery discovery and forensics officers seen at graveyard
A CEMETERY was closed overnight after cops found human remains – with forensic officers seen at the graveyard.
Cops scrambled to Dukinfield Cemetery on the eastern outskirts of Manchester yesterday following the grim discovery.
Children playing in the cemetery came across skulls and other bones, the Tameside Correspondent reports.

It is believed the “historic” bones came from an old grave which was disturbed by a landslide.
But these reports have not yet been confirmed by Greater Manchester Police.
Cops remained at the cemetery this morning and have blocked off one path leading through it.
No criminal probe has been launched and the rest of the cemetery is now open to visitors.
The coroner has been informed and it is understood the incident will be dealt with by Tameside Council.
An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News: “The officer just said they have found remains and couldn’t disclose anything else.”
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for comment.
