Sunny and mild for Chiefs Sunday
What We’re Tracking
- Sunny and warm Sunday
- Rain chances return midweek
- Holding on to warmer temperatures
Temperatures are mild this morning in the upper 60s to start out. Our Sunday will remain dry with sunshine and highs continuing to approach 90° as we deal with some late summer-like temperatures over the next few days. Breezes will remain from the southeast, eventually picking up at 15-20 mph by Monday.
Humidity has slightly increased due to the added moisture from the remains of hurricane Francine this week. Dew points today and for the start of the week will be in the upper 60s, feeling a bit humid for mid-September.
A few stray showers may develop over north central Kansas early Monday morning and try and push into our far western counties. Models show any rain fizzling out before it gets here, but it is possible we see isolated rain for some early on.
Most rain chances hold off until Tuesday with isolated rain possible. We'll hold on to hit or miss rain chances throughout most of the week as we continue to hold on to the warmer temperatures in the upper 80s to around 90° through Friday.
