"Deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal moved slowly westward; intensity to weaken within 24 hours," says IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that a deep depression over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh is expected to weaken into a depression within 24 hours. Heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for Gangetic West Bengal, including Kolkata, as well as Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
