Many have praised the chemistry between Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał – with some even salaciously joking that they will be hit with the Strictly ‘curse’ this year.

Fans were also excited to see Chris McCausland preparing to take to the floor with Dianne Buswell.

But there was one couple in particular that audience members think are going to walk away with the Glitterball.

Amy Dowden made a dramatic comeback to the Strictly dance floor for the first time in a year after a battle with cancer took her out of the competition.

Show bosses revealed that she has been paired up with JLS band member JB Gill.

This is the duo fans are convinced will waltz their way to success this year.

People watching the show at home took to X to share their opinions, with one gushing: “Dream team. JB Gill and Amy Dowden together will be fantastic.

“I’m backing JB all the way & it’d be incredible to see Amy finally win. JB & Amy winning would truly be one of the greatest moments in Strictly. Great stuff.”

Another viewer speculated: “I think JB and Amy have a very good chance of winning this series of Strictly, if they are in the top 4 or 5 couples in terms of dancing ability.

“Due to Amy’s inspirational return they already have the narrative and momentum to win.”

A third exclaimed: “JB & Amy for the win!!!!”

Amy was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year.

During that time, she underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility treatment, and nearly died from sepsis.

Thankfully, she was given the all clear earlier this year.

She took to Instagram with an emotional statement, telling followers: “Tonight I return to @bbcstrictly doing what I love most DANCING with these talented souls.

“A big thank you to the entire strictly family on and off the dance floor for all your support through everything and to @jasongilkison for choreographing this beautiful number for my return!

“So grateful to everyone and excited for the months ahead.”
