130 years of rivalry: Beavers host No. 9 Oregon Ducks in epic showdown.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) - This Saturday, the Beavers will host the #9 Ducks in one of the most thrilling matchups for Oregon college football. The stakes are high with both teams coming in 2-0 after the Ducks defeated Idaho and Boise State, and the Beavers defeated Idaho State and San Diego State.

The Ducks, who were rated #3 in the AP Poll at the beginning of the season, have fallen to #9, mostly as a result of narrow victories over opponents who are not ranked, such as FCS Idaho.

This 130-year rivalry, formerly known as the Civil War, has produced electrifying football every year. Thanks to the transfer portal, both teams have new players, which changes the character of the rivalry. Nonetheless, the Beavers top the league in possession time per game, but Oregon's aggressive defense will try to force mistakes and throw off their plan.

As both sides strive to keep their perfect records, the stakes are high, and this legendary rivalry will see yet another new chapter written. To add to the excitement, Reser Stadium announced that the game is sold out.
