Sardar Sarovar Dam just 2 metres away from full reservoir level; villages in Bharuch alerted

The water level of Gujarat's Sardar Sarovar Dam has risen to 136.43 metres due to good rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, just over two metres short of its full capacity. Authorities have released water from the dam, prompting warnings for low-lying areas downstream. The dam is currently 92% full, benefiting irrigation and drinking water supply.
