Instagram spot frames ‘first sunrise in Europe’

The first of five Instagram spots aimed at offering idyllic backgrounds for pictures has been rolled out at Fig Tree Bay in Protaras, the municipality announced on Saturday.

With a large white frame, the Instagram Spot offers a beach view in the background on one side, and “the first sunrise of Europe” on the other, the municipality said.

Another three Instagram Spots will be placed at the Protara tourist area and one in Pernera central square.

Paralimni-Dherynia mayor George Nikolettos and deputy mayor of Frenaros Kosta Michail went to the Fig Tree Bay to visit the Instagram Spot.

The sign in Greek says ‘where the blue of the sky blends with the blue of the sea.’
