Pop Star Tate McRae Goes Topless in Risqué New Music Video
In the video for her latest single “It’s OK I’m OK," pop musician Tate McRae goes topless (and bottomless), flaunting her figure in the outrageous video which sees the “Greedy” singer arrested for public nudity.
The Canadian singer-songwriter began her rise to prominence after placing third on the 13th season of So You Think You Can Dance, but it wasn’t until the release of “Greedy” on Sept. 13, 2023 that she emerged as a proper pop star. The song marked McRae’s biggest debut to date on Spotify and her first number one worldwide single when it entered the Billboard Global 200.
Now, almost exactly a year later, McRae has released the video for her latest single, “It’s OK I’m OK.” The song’s lyrics find the musician baring her soul and reconciling her sudden fame, while the video finds McRae revealing far more. In addition to about half a dozen skimpy outfits McRae models in the video, usually while performing intricately sensual choreography, the singer strips down to the buff for one scene in which she’s arrested for public nudity.
The scene comes early on in the video, as McRae struts through the streets of New York City and catches sight of an alternative (and naked) version of herself being detained by two cops. As the officers try to wrestle her into the vehicle and attempt to cover her with a coat, McRae presses herself up against the windows and blows kisses to the audience.
McRae discussed the song’s origins during a Sept. 12 interview with Rolling Stone, revealing that she only finished it a few weeks ago. “It started from a conversation of me being like, 'It's ok, I'm ok,' and we were like, 'That would be a crazy pop song'. I ended up finishing it four weeks ago and turned it into a fun pop song and made the music video."
