BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Corinth man was sentenced on Wednesday for two charges. Nicholas Harwood, 36, is to serve a seven-year term with a consecutive three-year term relating to two separate arrests.

The first sentence was from a Jan. 17 arrest. Harwood pleaded guilty to being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The second sentence follows an April 26 arrest. On April 24, police executed a search warrant at a Liberty Street home in Corinth, following an extensive investigation into drug trafficking in Saratoga County.

Police say Harwood is accused of possessing and selling cocaine and crack cocaine across the county. At the time of his arrest, he faced five charges.

Charges included:

  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • One count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

On July 11, Harwood pleaded guilty to one of the third-degree criminal possessions of a controlled substance charges. Following his prison sentence for both charges, Harwood was also sentenced to four years of post-release supervision, two for the first charge and two for the second, running consecutively.
