Rotterdam man accused of driving drunk with 5 kids in car
ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Rotterdam Police Department reported the arrest of a Rotterdam man for allegedly driving drunk while five children were in his car. Haroon Alradee, 39, faces multiple charges.

- Felony driving while intoxicated due to previous conviction of DWI in the past 10 years
- Five counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car
- Five counts of endangering the welfare of a child
- Traffic violations
Officers from the Rotterdam Police Department were called to Bradt Elementary School on Wednesday for a disturbance call. Police say they learned that Alradee had picked up his son and left in a car after staff observed that he appeared to be intoxicated.
The police say they responded to the man's home and after a short period he arrived. When officers made contact with the man, they said they observed five children riding in the car with him.
According to police, Alradee registered a .30% blood alcohol content after he was taken into custody. He is to return to Rotterdam Court on September 19 for further proceedings.
