I’m the UK’s oldest clubber – I still wear a bikini at 86 & spend summer partying with my granddaughter

AN 86-YEAR-OLD grandma, has revealed that she spent the summer living it up in Ibiza and staying up until 3am with her granddaughter.

Margaret Dillon, who made the trip to the Spanish party island to see her granddaughter Zoe Ferguson renew her wedding vows, claimed that she was the “last one standing” as she partied the night away on the holiday.

The gran of 21 said of the trip: “I absolutely loved it, you are never too old to have a boogie.

“I would encourage anyone who is older to get over to Ibiza or get out clubbing.

“I don’t want to sit at home, that would be boring.

“I tell my family I will live until I’m 200. I take care of people which keeps me young.”

During her vacation, Margaret partied at O Beach Club, Café Mambo and Ushuaia, where stars such as David Guetta and Calvin Harris can be seen performing.

The silver-haired party fan even managed to bump into Wayne Linekar, brother of BBC broadcaster Gary.

“I met Wayne Lineker and got a picture with him.

“I wrapped my legs around him so he got his leg over.

“I travelled to Thailand a few years ago and had a massage from an elephant trunk – I told him that trunk was bigger than his.”

The cheeky gran also revealed that she ended up splashing a bottle of champagne down a waiter’s trunks.

“He laughed and loved it,” she said.

“I also picked a woman up by her backpack. I got away with quite a lot when I was there.'”

Margaret got fully glammed up for the trip, and partied in a sparkly top and stick-on face gems.

Why women should wear bikinis no matter their age or shape

IF you think you should hide your body this summer - think again!

Fabulous Magazine’s Fashion Director, Tracey Lea Sayer has

Times have changed since 2015 when Protein World spent £250,000 on an ad campaign of a slim 20-something bikini clad model asking the reader “Are you beach body ready?” The uproar that followed about the objectification of women was global. Branded offensive, irresponsible and harmful, the verdict on the campaign and the social media uproar was well documented, and rightly so.

Now, I am happy to say that all sizes of women are represented in swimwear across the media landscape. Brands like JD Williams, In The Style and New Look, to name just a few, all work with models of all sizes and ages to promote their swimwear.

My social media feed is also full of ladies of all ages and sizes looking Fabulous in their swimmies. What started out as a trickle of shy bikini-clad selfies has now become a body-positive movement that makes us all feel good to get into our swimwear.

And why shouldn’t we! Our bodies are all completely different and we should be celebrating that fact.

At 53, I love bikinis, I love having an all over tan in the summer with as few white bits as possible. I don’t want to dumb myself down as I get older, I want to celebrate that I am still here! My aim is to keep on wearing bikinis well into my 80s if I am lucky enough to get there.

I have learnt to love the aging process. I will never look like I did in my 20s again, but I do enjoy looking after myself way more than I did back then. A better diet, more exercise and a lot of self-care makes me feel good on the inside as well as the outside.

I love that other cultures like to celebrate their elders. I think we should embrace this in western society instead of just fetishizing youth.

Aging isn’t something to be feared but embraced.

Wear the damn bikini, I am going to!

“We were partying every night. My favourite venue was Ocean Beach Club – I walked in there wearing my bikini,” she revealed.

“Everyone looked amazing.”

And the grandma revealed that Ibiza isn’t her only party location.

She added that she also loves clubbing in her home time Middlesborough.

“I’m happy to claim the title of Britain’s oldest clubber, ” she said.

“I haven’t seen anyone older out. I wish everyone else would go out and let their hair down.'”

Margaret also had a wild experience pole dancing in Thailand when she was 78.

However, she joked that unfortunately, no one was putting notes down her underwear.

“I would love to go back to Ibiza or even go to the USA,” she revealed. “My sister lives there so it would be lovely to visit.

“I would also like to stop in Vegas. If Elvis Presley was alive I would love to dance with him.”
