Vees announce the commitment of forward George Lovell for the 2025-26 season

PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce the commitment of 2007-born forward George Lovell for the 2025-26 season, the team announced Friday.

“George came to our camp this year unseen and left with an offer for the 2025-26 season,” began Vees’ President, General Manager, and Head Coach Fred Harbinson. His skating ability is elite, and his style of play will sure draw the attention of our fans.”

Lovell, 17, had an impressive showing at the Vees’ training camp earlier this month, including a standout performance in the team’s annual intrasquad game. The Hingham, Massachusetts, product plays at the Lovell Hockey Academy just outside of Boston. Last season, with their Under-16 team, Lovell amassed 81 points (22G, 59A) in 60 games. This season, he will play for the Lovell Academy’s Under-18 Blue.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of such a historical franchise. A long list of talented players has come through Penticton over the years, and I can’t wait to join the team,” stated Lovell.

The Vees organization is excited to welcome George into the fold for the 2025-26 season.

Penticton continues their BCHL preseason tonight, as they visit the West Kelowna Warriors at Royal LePage Place; puck drop is 7:00 pm
