Amazon slashes little-known robot vacuum from £239 to £184 – customers call it ‘extraordinary for the price’

Amazon has slashed the cost of a robot vacuum that, despite coming from a little-known brand, customers absolutely love.

The Honiture V8 Pro robot vacuum cleaner has been given rave reviews, and is currently reduced to £184 (was £239).

Amazon has reduced the cost of the Honiture V8 Pro robot vacuum, which comes with one unusual feature at this price point

This handy little household helper is currently on Amazon’s best-selling robot vacuums list – no great surprise, given that discount.

You’ll see the Honiture marked with a sale price of £199, but if you tick the voucher box below, you can save an extra £15.

That’s a decidedly budget-friendly price on a robot vacuum that comes with features that are much more common on higher-end devices.

The most prominent of these? Laser mapping.

This feature allows the robot vac to chart your home user its laser function, thereby cleaning it far more efficiently.

Yes, you’ll find much robot vacs going for as little as £99 – but such bargain-basement devices will only clean your floors in a randomised fashion.

The Sun’s Shopping team has reviewed a number of robot vacuums from major brands like Eufy and Roomba – and as we discovered, laser mapping is something you only typically find in mid-range and and premium vacs.

It’s something you can get in the Eufy Robovac X8 (which is currently on sale for £299), and the iRobot Roomba Combo j5 (a slightly eye-watering £749).

The Honiture V8 Pro doesn’t sport some of the fancy features these machines do – such as the Roomba’s self-emptying bin – but at this price point, it looks like it delivers a serious amount.

Indeed, one shopper on the Amazon website describes the Honiture as ‘extraordinary quality for the price’ (whether they paid the full RRP or sale price, I couldn’t tell you).

The mop function is another star attraction – perfect if you’ve got lots of hard floors in your house – and will it switch between mopping and vacuuming without you having to add any cumbersome attached.

Like all robot vacs, the V8 Pro is operated through a corresponding smartphone app.

Here, you can schedule its cleaning times, and even set up ‘no-go’ zones in your house (I doubt you’ll want your prized rug getting mopped, for instance).

On top of that, you can activate it with Alexa – no tedious button-pushing required.

‘[A] very clever and powerful machine,’ writes another buyer. ‘For such a compact piece of equipment it packs amazing suction power…

‘It is quiet in operation and does a thorough job on all surfaces we’ve tried.’

Not all reviews are glowing, with one buyer criticising the small water tank, along with some limitations to the way it maps rooms.

Ultimately, it’s a robot vacuum at less than £200, and is going to have it’s shortcomings.

That super-low price, I think, really comes from the fact that it’s not a prominent brand.

Just keep in mind Amazon has this marked as a limited-time deal.
